8 min read

Can you determine the top beaches in the world? It’s not possible, since the preferences of travelers will vary from to traveler based on accessibility, amenities to water sports, swimming alternatives, safety, a feeling of belonging as well as relaxation and scenic. However, having traveled extensively and having spent my time in the sand of a variety of beaches all over the world I am pleased to present my top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. From sandy to coral as well as long and enclosed. It will be no surprise that the majority the beaches listed are in the. Unfortunately they are not a hidden gems (anymore) and you’ll be required to share their stunning beauty with other tourists. If peace is your goal and you are looking to swap the beaches below for one of them.

White-haven beach in Australia

White haven Beach is protected by the Whitsunday Islands National Park and is situated within the Great Barrier Reef. The world’s most famous beach extends for over 4 miles (7 km) and is surrounded by swirls of blue, turquoise and green waters.  A myriad of beautiful lagoons, bays, and gulfs, with natural view points can be found around the area. Hill Inlet bay located in the northern area of the beach is awe-inspiring. In this area, the white sandy sand combines with the depth of the sea as it flows and creates a surreal color that no photograph can capture.

Tongue Point -is the best spot to watch the “sand whirls” of the Hill Gulf. The Sand is 98 100% pure white silica which gives it a sparkling almost luminescent hue. The beach can be reached by seaplane or helicopter or travel by boat towards Whitehaven Beach with one of the numerous yacht trips available within the region.

Baio Do Sancho is situated on the isolated Island that is Fernando de Noronha, an active volcanic archipelago that comprises 21 islands within the Atlantic Ocean, located approximately 220 miles (350 km) from the coast of the northeastern part of Brazil bay.As you may have guessed, there’s nothing to offer in terms of amenities in Baia do Sancho, but it’s not the reason you’re here. And an additional note about how to get to the beach.

Getting there involves a trek through dirt tracks, followed by climbing up a set of ladders that are shaky and then squeeze through a crack in the rock. People who have put in the effort, however, have no doubt that it was worthwhile.  Beautiful emerald-colored water and soft white sands are bordered by lush 250 feet (75 meters) rock faces. The beach is only reached via boat or hiking on a dirt pathway through cracks in a rock wall, which is surrounded by a couple of dozen steps that are uneven and slippery. The beach is great for snorkeling and watching the rays.

Aussies as well as Kiwis have been enjoying surfing in Sri Lanka’s exotic south coast for many years and now the word is beginning to be spread that this country could be the perfect destination for your next vacation.Unawatuna is widely regarded as the top beach of Sri Lanka. According to the Discovery Channel called it the most desirable beaches in the world. The lagoon is situated approximately 5 km from the historic south-facing Galle Fort. It is easy to combine relaxation moments on the beach and visits to the various attractions.

Unawatuna is frequently regarded as one of the top beaches on the island, situated close to the southern city Galle. Its water is serene and warm, without coral reefs and rocks in the ocean floor. It is a great spot for families, but not suitable for surfers. A narrow road runs along the beach, and is lined with cafes, restaurants and jewelry vendors.

Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful, protected bay located in the Thai island of Koh Phi Phi. With a white ring of beach sand that is surrounded by mangroves as well as towering limestone walls covered by thick foliage, it’s simple to understand the reason why Director Danny Boyle chose this beach in his film of cult-favorite. Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful beach that is protected by 100-metre-high cliffs on three sides.

Within the bay are several beaches. Most are tiny and only occur only at low tide. The most popular one is about 200 metres long , with soft white sand, vibrant corals along with exotic species of fish that swim in crystal clear waters; the entire bay is a huge reef. The Beach, with Leonardo DiCaprio. The main beach in the bay measures around 200 meters (650 feet) long, and is characterized by the soft, silky white sand with colorful coral that is underwater, and exotic fish swimming in crystal clean water.

 Sunset Beach, Oahu

One of the most popular spots to view large waves in the winter months (the beach is the home of the Vans Triple Crown), the water here is as tranquil as a lake during summer and is a perfect location for snorkeling. After a long day in the surf and sand, do not leave and go to the homestead just yet.Sunset Beach is outside of Haleiwa Town past waimea bay If you are in a turtle resort, you’ve gone too far. When you begin to get hunger-stricken, Haleiwa Town is nearby and offers various food choices. If you’re not keen on wandering too far away to Sunset Beach, within walking distance is Seven Brothers, a popular food truck that serves delicious fries and burgers.

There’s the Crispy Grindz, a different food truck that includes Brazilian dishes and a variety of acai bowls that are refreshing. If you’re looking for a seated spot, Ted’s Bakery is also close by, and is the home of the famous haupia-chocolate pie (haupia is a smooth coconut-flavored gelatin which is very popular among the people of Hawaii). Traditional flavors such as strawberry are offered too. It is highly recommended to park in the close by Sunset Beach Support Park, located next to the seafront. As the name implies there are the sunsets that bring the visitors to the beach.

Cape Town tops my list of the st beautiful cities arround the world Not least due to the stunning beaches that are right on its doorstep. Camps Bay is not only the most sought-after beach in Cape Town and one of the few urban area that makes it into my top 10 list of beaches. After admiring the crystal clear ocean from the mountain’s ridge and you’re going to need to splash around in the water. Beware, however, the Atlantic waters around Camps Bay can be icy! The beach lined with palms is stunning in a day that isn’t windy. Bring a couple of deck chairs along with an umbrella, relax in the sun, and then watch the gorgeous players play frisbee or volleyball.

There can be strong currents and you should ensure that you are swimming in areas that are monitored by lifeguards. Its white sand is dazzling against the magnificent background of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range and Table Mountain, Camps Bay’s water can be chilly because of the currents that flow through the Atlantic Ocean, but that does not detract from the stunning scene and the world-renowned sunsets.

Banana Beach, Koh Hey (Coral) Island, Thailand

Banana Beach in Phuket is a hidden gem. Phuket is a world-renowned holiday destination and each area of this tiny paradise has been explored and occupied, then sold as well as developed and exploited. However, the tiny Banana Beach is hiding from the masses. We thought it would not last long however, it’s still unoccupied. Banana Beach has a backdrop of lush greenery and gazes out over crystal-clear waters. The place isn’t deserted though it has a restaurant there since I remember, which is nearly two years. It can provide you with an excellent lunch of seafood likely caught just a few miles from here. Prices are a little more expensive than other places however, once you see them dragging every thing down the slope, it’s easy to forget the price.

There aren’t many spots in Phuket where you can enjoy a relaxing lunch by the beach by the sea with feet buried under cocoa trees! If you’re lucky, or plan it well the day will be at low tide and the sky will be clear as well. Banana Beach will then take its full glory. Banana Boat excursions are very extremely popular as is the name and the sea kayaking experience, snorkeling and parasailing. With only a few facilities, and a restaurant constructed of bamboo, it’s an ideal, uncrowded place to relax for a relaxing time in the sun.

 Reethi Rah, Maldives

It’s almost impossible to choose which beach is our favorite in the Maldives, with more than 1,200 options to choose from, but we’re attracted by the North Male Atoll, and Reethi Rah in particular. Eight perfectly shaped sand strands ring the island’s larger than average size, with each of them proving superior to the other. And with just one resort on the island the island never feels crowded.

In located in the North Male Atoll, this resort is stunning right from the start. If securing yourself from the world is your desire you should you’ve come to the right place. In the Resort’s Beach villas are set 20 meters apart so you can be sure that privacy is assured. These Overwater Villas can be found situated in groups of four which are ideal for a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Beauty, spaciousness and luxury are the hallmarks of everything that is One and One Reethi Rah.

North Island, Seychelles

Also referred to in the past as “Sunset Beach,” North Island in Seychelles is where tortoises of giant size are grazing in the grass. Relax your feet in the soft sands of this private, unspoiled piece of paradise. In the clear seas that make up the Indian Ocean, 30km north of Mahe Island in the Seychelles is this exclusive island waiting to greet guests. Cared for by our environmentally conscious philosophy.

North Island offers an up-close-and-personal experience with some of the most beautiful creatures in nature. The sea becomes pink as the sunset approaches as well as The West Beach Bar buzzes with the low buzz from famous voice. Famous people like George as well as Amal Clooney, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton have been on honeymoon here, and when it’s as good as the celebrities, it’s perfect for you too.

The Baths, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

Virgin Gorda is the third largest of the British virgin Iceland with its natural beauty covering the entire 8.5 acres. It has quiet beaches and coves as well as flora-rich national parks. One of the most stunning (and most well-known attraction) however it is the Baths which is a beachfront area in which massive granite boulders create stunning saltwater grotto’s and pools. The British Virgin Islands, are among the most exclusive and undeveloped islands in the Caribbean however this is only adding to their charm.

The restaurants, villas and resorts are known for their minimalist extravagances over sprawling expanses, and they are a magnet for those with big pockets and a desire of sailing and secluded. A lot of visitors come via ferry boats from another Caribbean island, particularly since many find the lavish exile difficult to live in for more than a few hours. It is also said that it is best to divide your time between the two islands.
